Special brigade

To the editor:

In reading your paper’s lengthy articles on sex offenders and their destiny (Sept. 25), I realized that the Journal-World is striving to rival the National Inquirer (or tabloids of that sort) in pertinent interests. In my infinite ability to rise above such tasteless (yellow?) journalistic reporting, I have seen the whole picture and have an answer to the question of what to do with the Kansas population of sex offenders: Send them to Iraq instead of providing innocent American children as cannon fodder. A special “scarlet letter” (a K, of course) brigade could be formed and our midwestern sex offenders could vindicate themselves.

Gov. Sebelius did not heed my advice about solving the education funding problems of our state, but she may well follow my plans for the rehabilitation of sex offenders.

Robert E. Anderson,
