How and why

To the editor:

How presumptuous and arrogant of Steve Abrams to know how God did or didn't create life on Earth. Again Kansas should be ashamed that a board of backward-thinking, non-scientific fools is running our schools. As a former high school biology teacher, I have been involved in this debate for many years. A former biologist co-worker, the wife of a Lutheran minister, once stated the balance between religion and science very eloquently: Evolution explains the "how" of creation and religion explains the "why." There is room for both in their own place; evolution in science classes and religion in church.

Its worth saying again.

I might go so far as to say that one cannot both believe in God and fail to believe in evolution. To reject the mechanism of God's creation is to reject God himself.

Repent ye heathens. Come to the true faith of the Flying Spagetti Monster! He is the one and only true creator of all!
