Soybean futures declined Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade, while grain futures finished mixed. Wheat for December delivery rose 3 cents to $3.00 1/2 a bushel; December corn fell 1 1/2 cent to $1.86 1/4 a bushel; December oats fell 2 1/2 cents to $1.81 1/2 a bushel; January soybeans fell 4 1/4 cents to $5.54 a bushel. Beef futures advanced on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, while pork futures retreated. December live cattle rose .10 cent to 92.85 cents a pound; January feeder cattle rose .25 cent to $1.172 a pound; December lean hogs fell .65 cent to 62.35 cents a pound.
