Vermont teacher razzes President Bush on quiz

? Teacher Bret Chenkin let his political slant get the best of him on a recent vocab quiz.

The teacher at Mount Anthony Union High School in Vermont was reprimanded by his superintendent over the liberal tone of a few questions, including one that attacked President Bush’s syntax.

“It’s absolutely unacceptable,” Supt. Wesley Knapp said. “(Teachers) don’t have a license to hold forth on a particular standpoint.”

Chenkin responded with: “The kids know it’s hyperbolic, so-to-speak. They know it’s tongue in cheek. They know where I stand.”
