The Douglas County 4-H Horse Project Group had its achievement celebration Nov. 15.

Samantha Mathews, Mason Durkes, Connor Nottingham and Paris Nottingham were honored for having perfect attendance. Kalen Wright, Katelynn Reese and Wyatt Schumann were recognized for their attendance because they only missed one meeting. Most-improved rider awards went to Mason Durkes, Wyatt Schumann, Lauren Jamison and Katelynn Reese. Leadership honors were given to Paris Nottingham, youth division, and Jeannie Nottingham, adult division.

To celebrate, members went swimming at the Lawrence Aquatic Center and ate pizza at Godfather’s Pizza.

The club will have an open ride at 6 p.m. Dec. 20 at the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds.
