Lawrence Police said Friday that in the past 24 hours they handled:

¢ A vehicle reported stolen from a McLouth woman was found abandoned in Jefferson County this week.

Officers with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office called the woman Monday after her vehicle was found after an accident at Wellman Road and Kansas Highway 16.

The woman had last seen the vehicle at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, she said, and reported it stolen to the Leavenworth County Sheriff’s office. Loss was estimated at $1,100.
