OSU shooting for bowl berth

? Oklahoma State still has a chance to play in a bowl game this season. That goal is out of Baylor’s reach for the 11th straight year.

“It’s a disappointment,” Baylor junior center Will Blaylock said. “We have to get over this hump so we won’t have this discussion next year, and can be talking about what bowl we’re going to.”

The Bears’ latest postseason hopes were ended by a 31-16 loss at Missouri last weekend.

Going into today’s season finale, the remaining goals for Baylor (4-6, 1-6 Big 12 Conference) are modest ones: to win more than one Big 12 game in a season for the first time, and to win five games for the first time since 1995, the Bears’ last winning season, a year after they last played in a bowl.

Plus, the Bears could knock Oklahoma State (4-5, 1-5) out of bowl contention.

“We can play spoilers. If we can’t go to a bowl, let’s make sure they don’t get to go to a bowl either,” coach Guy Morriss said. “I think it would be significant for us to end up with five wins. … Let’s finish this season on a good note.”
