Journal-World sports editor Tom Keegan avoided getting kreamed by just about every competitor who entered his weekly pick-em contest for the third straight week.

But Keegan couldn’t provide enough kreaming to be declared a winner because 15 contestants fared better than the former New York City radio host, who correctly predicted four of six Big 12 Conference games last week.

Like Keegan, most entrants missed the Texas Tech-Oklahoma State outcome. Keegan also missed the Nebraska-Kansas State result.

Wichita’s Dan George picked five games correctly and came closest to Texas’ thrashing of Kansas University, predicting a 52-10 final. UT won, 66-14.

George will receive a Kream Keegan T-shirt.
