Lubbock, Texas ? Seimone Augustus had 32 points and 13 rebounds to lead No. 3 LSU to a 76-68 victory over No. 13 Texas Tech in the Tip-Off Classic on Sunday.

Augustus scored nine of LSU’s final 14 points after Tech had tied the score at 62 with about three minutes remaining.

Augustus, who was 12-of-25 from the field, had 10 defensive rebounds, and the Tigers (1-0) finished with a 51-37 rebound advantage overall.

Sylvia Fowles had 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Tigers, while Hoston added 10 points.

LaToya Davis scored 21 points for Texas Tech (0-1).

Lubbock, Texas – Sophia Young scored 30 points and helped the Bears rally from an 18-point second-half deficit at the Tip-Off Classic. Baylor, the defending NCAA champion, extended its winning streak to 21 games. Baylor’s Angela Tisdale added 19 points.
