? Martin Zeno led Texas Tech with a career-high 28 points and added seven rebounds and six assists as the Red Raiders beat Georgia Southern, 74-61, Friday night in the Lubbock Regional Final of the 2K Sports College Hoops Classic.

The 856th victory for coach Bob Knight puts him 24 victories away from passing Dean Smith for the NCAA record for most wins by a head coach.

After a 33-33 tie at halftime, Tech opened the second half with a 10-0 run, hitting five of six from the field while Georgia Southern missed its first nine shots.

The Eagles defense constantly pressured Tech with a full-court press, resulting in 19 turnovers by the Red Raiders and 10 steals for Georgia Southern.

Jarious Jackson followed his 19-point performance from Thursday night with 16 points against Georgia Southern but fouled out with more than four minutes to go. Terry Martin had 11 points in his second game as a Red Raider.

Georgia Southern trailed by as many as 11 points early in the first half, but tied the game before halftime after outscoring the Red Raiders, 21-13, in the final 10 minutes of the half.

Zeno was named the MVP of the regional tournament. The Red Raiders will travel to New York to play Syracuse in the national semifinals of the College Hoops Classic.
