NU focuses on run game

? Nebraska coach Bill Callahan said he was stressing that his team would have to establish a running game against Kansas State on Saturday.

The team practiced for two hours inside Memorial Stadium on Thursday, marking the final full-scale workout before Saturday.

Callahan said the team has planned its attack on Kansas State’s defense and is confident it could carry through.

“Every game that we go into, we try and establish a running game and have a balance in our attack,” Callahan said. “Sometimes we’re fortunate to do that, and sometimes we’re not, but we want to be able to do that Saturday.”

Callahan praised this year’s senior players, saying their work ethic and leadership helped to unify this year’s team. The game Saturday will be the last home game of the season.
