Temperature to soar up to 80

“It looks like another warm day in the forecast,” said Jennifer Schack, 6News meteorologist.

However, the morning was starting out a little on the cool side, with low-lying areas getting some patchy fog, Schack.

At 7:30 a.m., the temperature was 58 degrees, the humidity was 90 percent and winds were from the east-southeast at 7 mph.

Today’s high will climb to 80 degrees, with clouds thinning out during the middle of the day, Schack said. The average high for this date is 58 degrees. The record high for this date was 85, set back in 1980. Winds will be from the south today at 7 to 15 mph.

Overnight, the low will drop to 46 degrees by early Wednesday morning.

Then a cold front will move in, bringing some clouds but mostly spelling an end to warm temperatures, Schack said.

“Those temperatures will drop off back to average. That means from the 80s today to the 50s tomorrow,” Schack said. Wednesday’s high will climb to only 59 degrees, with breezy north winds 10-18 mph, gusting to 25 mph.

Thursday’s early morning low will be 33 degrees, with Thursday’s afternoon high reaching 63 degrees under mostly sunny skies.
