Lawrence police arrested a man Sunday night in connection with a robbery outside the Zarco 66 gas station, 1415 W. Sixth St.

A woman was approached by a man who demanded money and threatened her with harm, Police Sgt. Craig Shanks said. No weapon was displayed, he said.

The woman did give up some money and then she left. She went to her home and called relatives, who went to the station and saw the suspect was still in the area, Shanks said. They called police.

Officers arrived at the station and arrested the suspect. Formal charges are pending.
