Wellsville ? Galena ended Wellsville’s run in the Class 3A high school football playoffs Saturday night with a 35-16 victory.

Wellsville (7-4) cut Galena’s 14-0 halftime lead to 14-8 when Kyle Rush scored on a 29-yard pass from Ryan Schendel in the third quarter. But Galena (11-0) ran off three straight touchdowns for a 35-8 lead.

A 43-yard pass from Schendel to Rush accounted for Wellsville’s final score.

Schendel completed 10 of 21 passes for 218 yards, Rush had seven receptions for 147 yards, and Austin Bloss rushed for 51 yards on 15 carries.
