The state’s annual Free Fishing Days will be next Saturday and Sunday.

On those two days, Kansans will be able to fish without having to buy a license. This traditional weekend coincides with National Fishing & Boating Week.

The weekend is geared toward youth, but anyone can participate simply by going fishing or by participating in events sponsored by local and state agencies and organizations.

For those who have wanted to start fishing, Free Fishing Days is the perfect opportunity to explore the sport. It’s also a great time to get the kids out and enjoy family time.
