Debra and Jay Curran, Atlanta, announce the birth of a daughter, Katherine Riley Curran, born April 6, 2005, at Piedmont Hospital. Kate has an older brother, Jack, 2.

The Eudora High School class of 1955 invites members of the EHS classes from 1952 to 1958 to a social gathering at 7 p.m. June 4 at Eudora City Hall.

Bryce and Reyna Kohl, Olathe, announce the birth of their son, Alexander John Kohl, born April 13, 2005, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Maternal grandparents are John and Phyllis Garcia, Lawrence. Paternal grandparents are John and Lavonne Kohl, Arvada, Colo. Great-grandparents are Edna Schepler, Hot Springs, S.D., and Catalina Hermocillo, Denver.

Graduates of Eudora High School are invited to the Eudora High School Alumni Assn.’s banquet and yearly meeting June 5 in the Eudora Middle School commons area, 2635 Church St. Registration begins at noon. The covered-dish dinner will start at 12:30 p.m., followed by the business meeting.

The banquet is open to all Eudora High School graduates. Special recognition will be given to the class of 1955, which will celebrate its 50th reunion.

The 51st annual Fleming Bailey Rice Reunion will be at 1 p.m. June 5 at Gaines Walnut Grove, 933 E. 350 Road in Overbrook. There will be a potluck dinner. Attendees are asked to bring table service and lawn chairs. For more information or directions, call 331-9598.

Kristina Clark, of Eudora High School, has received a $500 scholarship from the East Central Kansas Economic Opportunity Corp.

David Gosser, Lawrence, received a Bachelor of Science degree in business marketing May 6 from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado. Gosser is a 2001 graduate of Free State High School. He plans to backpack in Australia for six months.

Gosser’s mother, Eileen Schartz, Lawrence, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in liberal studies from Benedictine College on May 14. She has accepted a position as director of development for the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art in St. Joseph, Mo.

More than 70 people gathered May 14 at their home to help them celebrate.

Chantel Keys, a former Lawrence resident, recently graduated from Regent University’s School of Law in Virginia Beach, Va. Keys was a student alumni ambassador and a member of the Council of Graduate Students. Keys graduated from Blue Valley High School in 1997. She completed undergraduate studies at Kansas University in 2002. She is the daughter of Lynn and Deborah Keys.

Jessica Foulke, Lawrence, recently received a Leland L. Lengel History Scholar Award at McPherson College.

Ryan Callaway, Lawrence, recently received a master’s degree in education from the University of Portland.

Brandon Elston, Overbrook, recently received an associate’s degree from Cloud County Community College.

Joshua Goeke, Lawrence, and Ashley Arn, Ottawa, made the dean’s list for the spring semester at Southwest Missouri State University. They earned at least a 3.5 grade-point average.
