Jayhawks 10th at regional golf

? Kansas University’s men’s golf team carded a 14-over par 294 and fell to 10th out of 27 teams after the second round of the NCAA Central Regionals at the par-70 Warren Golf Course.

The Jayhawks’ two-round total of 583 trails Tulsa and Texas A&M by two strokes and is good for narrow leads over Kent State (584) and Michigan State and TCU (585). The top 10 teams after today’s final round advance to the NCAA Championships on June 1-4 in Owings Mills, Md.

Kevin Ward led the Jayhawks with a 71 on Friday for a two-round total of 139, placing him in a tie for fourth. Other KU scores included: Gary Woodland 70-74–144, Andrew Price 76-74–150, Tyler Docking 75-75–150, and Luke Trammell 77-82–159.

Oklahoma State leads the event with a 565, followed by Augusta State (588) and Missouri (578). OSU’s Pablo Martin is the individual leader at 135.
