About 40 people attended the groundbreaking of the Booth Family Hall of Athletics on Saturday. The 26,000-square-foot addition to Allen Fieldhouse is expected to open before the first basketball game of the 2005 season.

The Booth Family Hall of Athletics will include cases of trophies and other KU memorabilia, a new Naismith Room, a Jayhawk Den, a new ticket office, a hall of fame area and a store to sell Jayhawk memorabilia.
