SOUTH BEND, IND. ? Kansas University’s men’s golf team has been seeded 17th in the 27-team field of the NCAA Central Regional that will begin today at Warren Golf Course.

Kansas is led by senior Kevin Ward, an All-Big 12 Conference selection who has a 72.00 stroke average this spring. Also competing for the Jayhawks will be Andrew Price, Gary Woodland, Luke Trammell and Tyler Docking.

KU is ranked No. 36 in the Golfweek poll going into the three-day, 54-hole tournament.

The top 10 teams in the regional will advance to the NCAA Tournament June 1-4 in Owings Mills, Md.
