OKLAHOMA CITY ? Kansas University shortstop Destiny Frankenstein and right fielder Heather Stanley were named Wednesday to the All-Big 12 Conference softball team.

KU second baseman Jessica Moppin, left-fielder Ashley Frazer and pitcher-designated hitter Serena Settlemier were named to the second team. In addition, Frazer, first baseman Nicole Washburn and pitcher Kathy McVey earned all-league academic honors.

Texas A&M pitcher Amanda Scarborough was named Big 12 Player and Freshman of the Year, while the Aggies’ Jo Evans was Big 12 Coach of Year.

Catcher Heather Scaglione of Oklahoma was Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, and Texas’ Cat Osterman was Pitcher of the Year.
