Several blocks of Kentucky Street closed until midnight
Emergency repairs to a sewer line have closed Kentucky Street from Ninth Street to Sixth Street today.
The one-way street will be closed until approximately midnight tonight, said Lisa Patterson, communications manager for the city.
Motorists are being directed to either New Hampshire Street or Maine Street to avoid the construction work.
Workers damaged the sewer line as part of a downtown waterline replacement project. Patterson said the damaged sewer line would not cause a disruption in sewer service to area residents or businesses.
