Jayhawks rout ISU

? Kansas University’s offense exploded for a season-high 16 hits in a 9-4 softball victory Saturday over Iowa State at SW Athletic Complex.

Junior shortstop Destiny Frankenstein was 4-for-4 with two RBIs for the Jayhawks, who improved to 29-20 overall and 8-8 in the Big 12 Conference.

KU freshman starter Christina Ross allowed two runs on five hits in just 21/3 innings, but junior Serena Settlemier (13-8) relieved and allowed just two more runs the rest of the way.

Jessica Moppin was 3-for-4 with two runs, Jackie Vasquez was 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI, Ashley Frazer was 2-for-3 with two runs, and Nettie Fierros was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

KU will wrap up the series and its regular season with a game at noon today against ISU.
