Mrs. Jacobs died Saturday, March 26, 2005, at her home.

She was born Sept. 14, 1937, in Tela, Honduras, the daughter of Jose Cabrera and Angela Castellanos. She graduated from high school in Puerto Cortes, Honduras.

Mrs. Jacobs moved to Lawrence in 1981 and was a homemaker. She worked briefly as an accountant in Honduras and was a baby sitter.

She married Jorge L. Jacobs on Dec. 30, 1960, in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. He survives, of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Jorge S. Jacobs, Lawrence, and Henry L. Jacobs, Eudora; a daughter, Carolina Coleman, Lawrence; two brothers, Luis and Jaime Castellanos, both of Puerto Cortes; three sisters, Tina Dos Santos and Marina Castro, both of Poinciana, Fla., and Victoria Rosales, Puerto Cortes; and two grandchildren.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, sent in care of the funeral home.
