School bond supporters to present forum

The organization pushing a pair of school bond issue proposals on the April 5 ballot will present a forum geared to Kansas University students, faculty and staff today.

Vote Yes for Lawrence Kids will offer the forum from noon to 1 p.m. in the Jayhawk Room of the Kansas Union. School board member Sue Morgan and other supporters will be on hand to answer questions about the bond issues.

If approved, a $54 million bond issue would allow for improvements at seven schools and the construction of a new South Junior High School. The second bond issue would allow for $8.9 million to be spent on technology.
