HOT SPRINGS, ARK. ? Washburn University and Seattle Pacific will battle this afternoon for the NCAA Div. II women’s basketball championship.

Game time is 4 p.m., with a live telecast available on ESPN2 (Sunflower Broadband channel 34).

A layup by Cindy Keeley with 14 seconds left gave Washburn the lead, and Carla Sintra’s rebound after a missed three-pointer seconds later sealed the Lady Blues’ 69-67 victory over Central Arkansas in Thursday’s late semifinal.

In the other semifinal Thursday, Seattle Pacific pulled away from Merrimack College, 73-64.

Washburn (34-2) is coached by Ron McHenry, a native of McLouth.
