Cold weather and wet grounds Friday forced postponement of two baseball games.

Kansas University’s Big 12 Conference opener at Hoglund Ballpark against Nebraska was called off. The game will be made up following today’s scheduled 1 p.m. game against the Cornhuskers.

Free State High’s game against Blue Valley Northwest was postponed until 1 p.m. today.

“We’ll either play it here or at Northwest’s field,” Free State athletic director Steve Grant said. “It depends on which field is in the best shape.”

The Firebirds’ game against K.C. Washington, rained out twice earlier this week, will be made up at 4 p.m. Monday at the FSHS field.
