Erwin M. ‘Junior’ Hammig Jr., Peoria, Ariz.

? Services for Erwin M. “Junior” Hammig Jr., 80, Glendale, Ariz., will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Heritage Funeral Chapel in Peoria.

Mr. Hammig died Tuesday, March 22, 2005, in Glendale.

He was born Nov. 16, 1924, in Lawrence, Kan., the son of Erwin M. and Edith Broat Hammig.

Mr. Hammig served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II as a member of a 10 man crew aboard a B-24 bomber. He worked at Hallmark Cards in Lawrence and retired after 30 years. He was a member of the National Rifle Assn., American Aviation Historical Society, Stearman Restorers, and a founding member of Douglas County Trail Riders.

He married Lois Green. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Steven, Arizona; a daughter Barbara, Clifton, Ariz.; a sister, Margaret Snow, Lawrence; and four grandchildren.
