Lawrence L. Crook, Topeka

? Services for Lawrence L. Crook, 92, Topeka, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel in Topeka. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka.

Mr. Crook died Wednesday, March 23, 2005, at his home.

He was born July 29, 1912, in Allen County, the son of Walter and Bertha Peck Crook.

Mr. Crook was co-founder, co-owner and operator of Lawrence Freight Line and BC&R Storage. He retired in 1980. He attended Grace Bible Church in Topeka.

He married Sarah E. Benton on May 27, 1933, in Topeka. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include three sons, Larry, Manitou Springs, Colo., Merle, Lawrence, and Ted, Carbondale; five daughters, Jeanette Sostrom, Absarokee, Mont., Marjorie Kramer, Topeka, Nancy Rosa, Stet, Mo., Jean DeWitt, Wakarusa, and Kim Taylor, Topeka; a brother, Leroy, Wichita; four sisters, Delia Yocum, Lodi, Calif., Mabel Isom, Laramie, Wyo., Mary Franklin, Stigler, Okla., and Ivanell McFarland, Colorado Springs; 27 grandchildren; and 59 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, where family will receive them from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
