Raymond Sigel Pearson, Baldwin

? Services for Raymond Sigel Pearson, 100, Baldwin, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ives Chapel United Methodist Church in Baldwin. Burial will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery in Baldwin.

Mr. Pearson died Monday, March 21, 2005, at his home.

He was born Feb. 12, 1905, in rural Baldwin, the son of Robert and Cena Lillis Prather Pearson. He attended Black Jack, Spring Creek and Baldwin schools.

Mr. Pearson worked on a family farm with his father and was a farmer all of his life. He also worked at the Baldwin Grain Elevator, at Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant and as a builder in Gardner.

He married Mary Katherine “Katie” Randel on April 2, 1927, in Olathe. She died Aug. 12, 2001.

Survivors include a son, Ralph, Baldwin; a daughter, Mary Haid, Lawrence; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home in Baldwin.
