Thomas J. Robb, Tonganoxie

— Services for Thomas J. Robb, 86, Tonganoxie, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Quisenberry Funeral Home in Tonganoxie. Cremation is planned.

Mr. Robb died Tuesday, March 15, 2005, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

He was born Jan. 7, 1919, near Tonganoxie, the son of Robert G. and Clara Leighty Robb.

Mr. Robb served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was a former member of the Tonganoxie City Council and Fire Department. He was a supervisor for Kansas Power and Light Energy Center in Lawrence and retired in 1983. He also was an assistant funeral director at Quisenberry Funeral Home for 40 years.

He was a member of First Congregational Church in Tonganoxie and a life member of Tonganoxie Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9271.

He married Mary Rose Davidson on June 8, 1947, in Eudora. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Sharon Wang, Lawrence; and two granddaughters.

The family suggests memorials to the church, VFW Post No. 9271 or Tonganoxie Public Library, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 993, Tonganoxie 66086.
