KU baseball to face Baker at home today

Kansas University baseball coach Ritch Price will be seeking his 300th win at the NCAA Division One level when the Jayhawks play host to Baker University today.

Game time is 3 p.m. at Hoglund Ballpark.

Price has compiled a 299-295-1 record in nine seasons at Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo and two-plus seasons at KU.

The Jayhawks (18-6) are coming off a sweep of North Dakota State at Hoglund Ballpark last weekend and are shooting for their fourth consecutive win.

Baker junior right-hander Josh Guilliams threw a complete-game four-hitter Tuesday to help BU split a doubleheader with Central Methodist.

Guilliams (4-2) struck out 10 batters in the nightcap while giving up only one walk to lead Baker to a 2-0 victory. Sophomore first baseman Dan Carr drove in both Baker runs in the first inning with a bouncing single up the middle.

The victory came after an error-filled, 8-1 loss in the opening game for Baker (10-12 overall, 2-2 in Heart of America Athletic Conference).
