Mildred H. Jolly, Mission

? Services for Mildred H. Jolly, 85, Eudora, will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mission. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery in Merriam.

Mrs. Jolly died Saturday, March 12, 2005, at Eudora Nursing Center.

She was born Oct. 28, 1919, in Morristown, Tenn., the daughter of Nelson George and Allye Belle Cox Weller.

She had lived in Eudora since 2000, when she moved from Perry. She also had lived in Chattanooga, Tenn., and Overland Park.

Mrs. Jolly worked as a licensed practical nurse for many years. She retired in 1978 after working for the federal civil service for 10 years. She was a member of Overland Park Lutheran Church and Brainerd Hills Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga.

She married Arthur Fletcher Jolly Jr. on June 14, 1938, in Morristown. He died July 18, 1992.

A grandson also died earlier.

Survivors include three sons, Arthur Fletcher Jolly, III, Rolla, Mo., Ronald Nelson, St. Petersburg, Fla., and Stephen Melver Jolly, Greenwood, Mo.; three daughters, Diana Jeanne Greenlee, Overland Park, Brenda Lynn Marron, Mission, and Patricia Anne Putnam, Perry; a sister, Frances Sutton, Sanford, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Lawrence Funeral Chapel and 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church before the service.

The family suggests memorials to City Union Mission of Kansas City, sent in care of Lawrence Funeral Chapel.
