Robert Jordan Seitz, Topeka

? Services for Robert Jordan Seitz, 76, Topeka, were Saturday at St. David’s Episcopal Church. Inurnment followed with military honors provided by Fort Riley.

Mr. Seitz died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, at his home.

He was born Oct. 17, 1928, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Robert F. and Margaret E. Jordan Seitz. He graduated from Shattuck School in Faribault, Minn., and the Military Academy at West Point in 1950. He earned a Master of Arts degree from Rutgers in 1968 and a Master of Business Administration from Kansas University in 1976.

Mr. Seitz served in the U.S. Army and retired Feb. 8, 1973, with the rank of lieutenant colonel. He was employed by the state of Kansas in the Legislative Post Audit division and retired in 1993 as administrator for the Kansas Department of Transportation. He was member of the Military Officers of America Assn. and St. David’s Episcopal Church.

He married Arlie A. Gilmore on Dec. 18, 1955, in Colorado. They divorced. He married Judy Spiker Whitney on April 25, 1998, in Topeka. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include a son, John, Greenville, N.C.; three daughters, Annette Collins, Lawrence, Susan Homsey, Mundelein, Ill., and Jeannie Stroth, Conway, Ark.; a brother, John, Des Moines; a sister, Ann Adams, Knoxville, Iowa; and eight grandchildren.
