Cleveland ? Orlando forward Grant Hill will miss two games because of a bruised left shin, including Tuesday night’s matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Hill, kicked a week ago during a win against Sacramento, also will be out for tonight’s game at Toronto.

Magic coach Johnny Davis said the injury was not related to the numerous left ankle problems that sidelined Hill for all but 47 games the previous four seasons.

“With anyone else, you would just tape it up a little tighter and go,” Davis said. “With Grant, we’re just being cautious. You don’t want him favoring it, which could throw him out of balance and potentially cause a problem.

“We have to give him time to get it right. There is some trepidation because it’s the same leg.”

Hedo Turkoglu started in Hill’s spot against the Cavaliers and guarded LeBron James.

Hill, averaging 19.3 points and 4.4 rebounds, played in his sixth All-Star Game last month. He did not travel with the Magic, remaining in Orlando to rehab the injury.

Davis said guard Doug Christie was likely to have surgery to remove bone spurs in his left ankle. Christie was placed on the injured list Saturday and is expected to miss the rest of the season.

Davis did not say when Christie would have the operation.

After being acquired from Sacramento in a January trade, Christie averaged 5.7 points on 36.7 percent shooting in 21 games.

He recently lost his starting job, with rookie Jameer Nelson inserted at the point and Steve Francis moving to shooting guard.
