Mildred Elaine Lucas, Lakin

Lakin ? Services for Mildred Elaine Lucas, 83, Overland Park, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church in Lakin. Burial will be in Lakin Cemetery.

Mrs. Lucas died Thursday, March 3, 2005, at Ashford Place in Overland Park.

She was born Sept. 12, 1921, in Utica, the daughter of Alfred Floyd and Susan Ann Jacka. She moved to Great Bend and graduated from Great Bend High School. She attended Wichita Business College. She was a former resident of Lawrence.

Mrs. Lucas worked for Boeing in Wichita manufacturing B-29 bombers during World War II. She was also a homemaker.

She married Richard C. Lucas Sr., on June 28, 1941, in Wichita. He died Jan. 26, 1980.

Survivors include three sons, Rick Lucas, Overland Park, Jack Lucas, Goodland, Scott Lucas, North Platte, Neb.; a daughter, Ann Fender, Oskaloosa, Iowa; and 10 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Garnand Funeral Home in Lakin.
