Douglas County Family and Community Education in cooperation with K-State Research & Extension Family and Consumer Sciences is offering a program “Forgetfulness or Alzheimer’s” at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the Deal Six Auditorium, 2110 Harper St.
The program will be given by Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, a neurologist. To register, call the Extension Office at 843-7058. The program is open to the public.

Kanwaka Family and Community Education unit will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the home of Keith and Hazel Nitcher. Reba Bennett will give the program “ACWW Paupa, New Guinea.” Ruth Wyatt will give the program “Tenderhearts: I am a Caregiver, What’s Next?”

India Family and Community Education unit will meet at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the Deal Six Auditorium, 2110 Harper St. Hostess will be Beulah Anderson. They will attend the program “Forgetfulness or Alzheimer’s.”

Clinton Eagles 4-H Club met Feb. 7 at Wakarusa Valley School. The meeting was called to order by Haven Bouton, president. Katie Gaston called roll call which was answered by: “What is your favorite Valentine’s Day candy?” Lindsey Fangman led the group in singing.
Kirstyn Heine gave the treasurer’s report. Simon Fangman gave the reporter’s report. Luke Wemple assisted Michelle Colgan in a parliamentarian lesson on “How To Refer a Motion To a Committee.” Morgan Manger gave the historian report. Lanaea Heine gave the leader’s report. She talked about upcoming events. Mary Garzillo announced a junior poultry association was beginning to form. Erica Spurling talked about the shooting sports letter. Nicki Snodgrass gave a demonstration on how to make a cookie pizza. A skit on conserving water was performed. The skit also was performed during Regional 4-H Day on Feb. 26.
The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the school.
