? Services for Elaine Woodrome, 64, Ottawa, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Calvary Baptist Church in Ottawa. Burial will be in Osawatomie Cemetery.

Mrs. Woodrome died Thursday, March 3, 2005, at her home.

She was born Dec. 17, 1940, in rural Osawatomie, the daughter of Ernest and Florence McDowell Hicks. She graduated from Osawatomie High School in 1958. She had lived in Ottawa since 1962. She also lived in St. Louis and Junction City.

Mrs. Woodrome was a homemaker for 45 years. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Osawatomie, Calvary Baptist Church in Junction City and Calvary Baptist Church in Ottawa. She was a youth sponsor for 17 years and taught fourth-grade girl’s Sunday school for 25 years. She was also a member of the church choir for many years.

She married Gale Woodrome on June 14, 1959, in Osawatomie. He survives, of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Marcia Aguiar, Medina, Ohio, and Melanie Bowman, Olathe; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Dengel and Son Mortuary in Ottawa, where the family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
