Kansas Hall of Fame unveils new members

? Fifteen new names — none with Lawrence or Kansas University ties — were added to the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame on Tuesday.

The honorees are: Antoine Carr, Ken Cochran, Brice Durbin, Harold Ensley, Mike Evans, Paul “Busch” Gross, Bill Guthridge, Ray Hahn, Bob Hentzen, Ted Kessinger, Cleo Littleton, Jack Parr, John Ravenscroft, Bill Russell and Steve Tasker.

Induction ceremonies for the honorees will be April 16 at the Wichita Airport Hilton Hotel. Gross, Hahn, Hentzen and Ravenscroft will be inducted posthumously. The newest selections bring the number of names in the state sports shrine to 141.

The selections are made by a seven-member Board of Trustees appointed by the governor. Duane Muck is chair of the board that also includes Rita J. Bicknell, George Fahnestock, David Fiser, Bill Phillips, Rick Williamson and former KU basketball standout Lynette Woodard.
