Sarah Marie Gudenkauf, Lawrence

Miss Gudenkauf died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005, at University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan., after a lengthy illness.

She was born June 28, 1988, in Lawrence, the daughter of Mark J. Gudenkauf and Julie D. Sevier-Gudenkauf. She attended Prairie Park School and South Junior High School. She was a sophomore at Lawrence High School and took dance classes at Dance City Performing Arts Academy.

Miss Gudenkauf was a cheerleader in eighth grade and active in many school sports. She was a member of the Saturday morning Youth Bowling League at Royal Crest Lanes.

Survivors include her mother, Julie D. Sevier-Gudenkauf, and stepfather, Darin Boggs, of the home; her father, Mark Gudenkauf, and stepmother, Carol Gudenkauf, Topeka; a brother, Chase Gudenkauf, of the home; a sister, Alexah Gudenkauf, of the home; grandparents, Willie Sevier, Lawrence, and Richard and Anna Gudenkauf, Topeka; and stepgrandparents, Mysel and Ron Sherridan, Topeka.

The family will receive friends at a wake service at 7 tonight at Corpus Christi Catholic Church.

The family suggests memorials to the Sarah Hope Foundation, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
