University Bridge Club announces the winners of its June 18 game. Hosts were Al and Carol Smith.

Blue winners were Al Smith, first; Ray Ikenberry, second; Paul Jordan, third; Dan Harden, fourth; and George Bocquin, fifth.

Pink winners were Wanda Kring, first; Carol Smith, second; Donna Riehm, third; Jean Whitaker, fourth; and Aileen Bocquin, fifth.

¢ The Wednesday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s June 15 game was stratified, used the Mitchell movement and was directed by Virginia Seaver. The North-South winners were Mona Bell and Chris Lane, followed by Eldon Herd and Phyllis Brownlee. Yvonne Hedges and Sally Taylor placed third in A with Harriett Olson and Linda Heavin placing first in B.

The East-West winners were Madelyn Jenks and Virginia Seaver, followed by Betty Collier and Klee Zaricky. Charles Hedges and Shirlie Vaughn were third in A with Gary Joyce and Mary Joyce placing first in B.

¢ The Wednesday Evening Duplicate Bridge Club’s June 15 game was stratified, used the Mitchell movement and was directed by Don Brennaman. The North-South winners were Ilse Steinhardt and Jolene Andersen at first in A, B and C, with John Hickey and Sam Pierron at second in A. Bob Anderson and Betty Spalsbury were second in B and C.

The East-West winners were John Reese and Shirley Reese at first in A, followed by Grant Sutton and Ann Thompson at second in A and first in B and C. Helen Huffman and Robert Huffman were second in B.

¢ The Friday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s June 17 game was stratified, used the Mitchell movement and was directed by Don Brennaman. The North-South winners were Jeffrey Nash and James Masilamani, followed by Sally Taylor and Patt Radford. Charles Hedges and Yvonne Hedges placed third in A, with Lester Dalton and Mary Fenlon at fourth in A. Ilse Steinhardt and Russell LaForce placed first in B and C ,with Betty Spalsbury and Bob Anderson at second in B and C. Phyllis Brownlee and Shirlie Vaughn placed third in B.

The East-West winners were Chris Lane and Shirley Reese at first in A and B, followed by Grant Sutton and Sam Pierron at second in A, second in B and first in C. Judy Hildreth and Dianne Childs were third in A, with Virginia Seaver and Julia Brooks at fourth in A. Eldon Herd and Bob Dailey were third in B, with Wanna Roszel and Bebe Huxtable at second in C.

¢ The Sunday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game used the Swiss Team format with Jerry Sloan directing the seven-team competition. The team of Vernon Gregg, Marilyn Stewart, Judy Hildreth and Polly Schoning placed first. The second-place team was Glenna Herd, Elizabeth Amsbaugh, Dorothy Netson and Barbara Merriam. In third place was the team of Helen Huffman, Robert Huffman, Bob Anderson and Betty Spalsbury.

¢ The Monday Evening Duplicate Bridge Club’s game was stratified, used the Mitchell movement and was directed by Virginia Seaver. The North-South winners were Patt Radford and John Hickey at first in A, followed by Barbara Hamilton and Bill Hamilton at second in A and first in B and C. Donna Johnson and David Piro were third in A, with Julia Dalton and Lester Dalton at fourth in A. Eldon Herd and Glenna Herd were second in B.

The East-West winners were Terry Tolar and Harry Shaffer at first in A, with Grant Sutton and Ann Thompson at second in A and first in B and C. Shirlie Vaughn and Sally Taylor were third in A, with Paul Heitzman and Virginia Seaver at fourth in A. Mary Beth Treece and Mary Joyce placed second in B and C.
