Pittsburg State University announces area students who made honors during the spring semester.

Those who made the All-A list were: Jenna Schulte and Megan Nelson, Baldwin; Margaret Mishler and Heather Martley, Basehor; Becky Wenger and Samantha Taylor, Lawrence; Travis Grove, Deborah Brockway, Emily Clayton and Kimberly Flory, Ottawa; and Tracee Brim, Tecumseh.

Students who made the dean’s list by earning at least a 3.6 grade-point average were: Daley Leintz, Basehor; Leanne Wilson, De Soto; James Blades and Bree Knight, Eudora; Rebecca Garrett, Patrick Darnell and Alan Neeley, Lawrence; Todd Brown and Jaime Walker, Ottawa; and Andrew Johnson, Wellsville.

¢ Carl and Amy Antle, Newton, announce the birth of their son Jacob Alan Antle, born June 1, 2005, in Wichita. Maternal grandparents are Janey Warren, Great Bend. Paternal grandparents are Carl “Bud” and Frances Antle, Lawrence.

¢ Scott and Shelly Rusk, Basehor, announce the birth of their daughter, Piper Billeigh, born May 10, 2005, at Providence Medical Center. Piper has two sisters, Payton, 6, and Paige, 2, and a brother, Parker, 5. Grandparents are Bill and Mary Hooker and Mitch and Carol Rusk, all of Basehor. Great-grandparents are Mary Brown, Basehor, and Howard and Sharon Rusk, Versailles, Mo. Great-great-grandmother is Ernesteen Nelson, Versailles, Mo.

¢ Lei Wei was one of 234 medical students who received a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree May 15 from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, Kansas City, Mo. Wei, son of Jiwu Wei, is a Lawrence High School graduate. He received a Bachelor of Science in business administration as a pre-med student from KU. Wei will complete a postdoctoral residency in psychiatry at KU Medical Center.

¢ Aimee Richardson, a Free State High School graduate, graduated from Kansas University in May with bachelor’s degrees in English and sociology. While at KU, she was a Crimson and Blue Scholar and completed the Honors Program. She also was selected for membership in Phi Beta Kappa. She has been accepted to the KU School of Law and will begin her studies in August. She is the daughter of Earl and Teresa Richardson, Lawrence.

¢ Elise Schnose, daughter of Greg and Linda Schnose, is interning this summer with the Stryker Corp., Dallas, in their research and design department.

¢ Jessica Foulke, Lawrence, and Matapony Collette, Lecompton, made the honor roll at McPherson College by earning at least a 3.55 grade-point average.

¢ Jaime Stanclift, Lawrence, is the recipient of a $1,500 college scholarship given at Fort Leavenworth through the Scholarships for Military Children program. Stanclift plans to attend the University of Akron in Ohio.

¢ Patrick Krivoshia graduated magna cum laude from Williams College on June 5 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics. Krivoshia was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa honorary fraternity. He will be working in New York City for Cornerstone Research.

¢ Andrew Pollock, Lawrence, made honorable mention honors during the spring semester at North Central Kansas Technical College, Beloit, by earning at least a 3.0 grade-point average.

¢ Eric Spray, Lawrence, made the president’s list for the spring term at Columbus College of Art & Design, Columbus, Ohio, by earning at least a 3.4 grade-point average. Spray, a 2003 Free State High School graduate, is the son of Larry and Tammy Spray.

¢ Natasha Riggins, daughter of William and Stacy Riggins of Lawrence, recently graduated from Allegheny College, Meadville, Pa.

Riggins, a Free State High School graduate, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science.
