Glass 10th in California

Lawrence’s Bob Glass is in 10th place after Monday’s first round of the PBA Senior Northern California Classic at Harvest Park Bowl in Brentwood, Calif. Glass recorded an eight-game pinfall total of 1,770. Roger LeClair of Clackamas, Ore., leads after scoring 1,845. The field returns for eight games today, after which the top 32 bowlers will advance to Wednesday’s match play.

Stanclift honored

Free State High shortstop Jamie Stanclift earned second-team accolades on the All-Class 6A state softball team as chosen by the Kansas Softball Coaches Assn. Eudora catcher Amy Hamilton was a second-team pick on the All-Class 4A state team.
