The Wednesday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game was stratified, used the Mitchell movement and was directed by Virginia Seaver. The North-South winners were Lois Clark and Catherine Blumenfeld at first in A and B, followed by Patt Radford and Yvonne Hedges. Virginia Seaver and Mona Bell placed third.

The East-West winners were Nita Scales and Florine Creek, followed by Grant Sutton and Don Bush. Bebe Huxtable and Clarice Broz placed third.

¢ The Wednesday Evening Duplicate Bridge Club’s game was handicapped, used the Howell movement and was directed by Don Brennaman. The winners were Grant Sutton and Ann Thompson, followed by Earl Core and Mike Lee. Betty Spalsbury and Bob Anderson placed third, followed by Barbara Hamilton and Bill Hamilton.

¢ The Friday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game was stratified, used the Mitchell movement and was directed by Don Brennaman. The North-South winners were Erna Holmes and Frances Vogel, followed by Shirlie Vaughn and Mary White. Patt Radford and Betty Collier were third with Gladys Rivard and Janice Hollowell placing first in B and C.

The East-West winners were Sally Taylor and Klee Zaricky, followed by Mary Fenlon and Yvonne Hedges. David Piro and Paul Heitzman placed third in A, followed by Mona Bell and Madelyn Jenks at first in B. Lynn Hui and Catherine Blumenfeld tied with Nita Scales and Harriett Olson for second in B and first in C.

¢ The Sunday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game was preceded by the first annual election of the Board of Directors for the Kaw Valley Bridge Center. New board members are Virginia Seaver, Eldon Herd, Gary Joyce, Lois Jones, Paul Heitzman, Harriett Olson, Chris Lane, Don Brennaman and John Hickey.

The 13-table game that followed was stratified, used the Mitchell movement and was directed by Jerry Sloan. The North-South winners were Bobbie Figgins and Marti Hartman at first in A, B and C, followed by James Masilamani and Lois Jones. Phyllis Brownlee and Judy Bevan placed third in A and second in B. Frances Vogel and Alice Leitch were fourth in A, third in B and second in C. Chris Lane and Shirley Reese tied with Gary Joyce and Mary Joyce at fifth in A and fourth in B. Janice Hollowell and Gladys Rivard placed fourth in C.

The East-West winners were Virginia Seaver and Paul Heitzman at first in A, followed by Eldon Herd and Glenna Herd at second in A and first in B. Klee Zaricky and Sally Taylor placed third in A, followed by two pairs – John Hickey and Patt Radford plus Jerry Sloan and Grant Sutton – who tied for fourth in A. Polly Schoning and Emily Foster placed sixth in A, second in B and first in C, followed by Dorothy Netson and Jeffrey Nash at third in B. Shari Krentzel and Virginia Hamilton placed second in C.

The North-South winners were Madelyn Jenks and Phyllis Brownlee at first in A and B, followed by Chris Lane and Mona Bell at second in A and B. Patt Radford and John Hickey were third in A, followed by Bob Anderson and Betty Spalsbury at fourth in A, third in B and first in C. Earl Core and Mike Lee were second in C.

The East-West winners were Jeffrey Nash and Lois Jones, followed by Dorothy Netson and Barbara Merriam at second in A, first in B and C. Terry Tolar and Lynn Hui placed third in A and second in B. Barbara Figgins and Harriett Olson were fourth in A, third in B and second in C.
