Despite early-morning clouds, the area will be clear and sunny today.

“Sunshine is finding its way through the clouds,” says 6News metereologist Tim Reith. “Today will be very similar to what we saw yesterday.”

At 8:40 a.m., temperatures were 72, with 71 percent humidity and winds out of the east at 6 mph.

“Once the clouds move south and east, clear skies will dominate today and over the weekend,” says Reith. “Tomorrow will be sun-baked. Remember to bring your water and sunscreen if you’re going to be out at the Wakarusa Festival.”

Overnight low will be 66, with wighs on Saturday in the low 90’s. Temperatures will climb to the mid 90’s Sunday and Monday.
