¢ Three Berry Golds: Bridgette Berry of Lawrence won gold medals in the U-10 long jump, high jump and 100 at the Missouri AAU championships. Lawrence’s Alexa Harmon-Thomas won the 100 in the U-9 division.

¢ Phenix Champs: Lawrence Phenix Hamilton softball went 4-0 at a rain-shortened weekend tournament in Chapman. ¢ MadDogs Shine: Lindy Eakin of KU MadDogs Running Club placed third overall in Saturday’s Tonganoxie Days Library Run. The club’s Terry Slocum finished second in the 5K. Also Saturday, Scott Coston finished third in the 40-49 age group at the Mosquito Meander 5K in Fairbanks, Alaska, and Cheryl Miller-Balster was the fourth woman finisher in the Kettle Moraine 100-Mile Run in Wisconsin.
