Grain and soybean futures slipped lower Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade. Wheat for July delivery fell 8 cents to $3.23 1/2 a bushel; July corn fell 7 1/2 cents to $2.17 a bushel; July oats fell 2 cents to $1.37 3/4 a bushel; July soybeans fell 16 3/4 cents to $6.68 1/2 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures retreated on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. August live cattle fell .40 cent to 83.15 cents a pound; August feeder cattle fell .70 cent to $1.111 a pound; July lean hogs fell 1.15 cent o 69.15 cents a pound; July pork bellies fell 2.07 cents to 69.60 cents a pound.
