Professor reappointed to humanities council

Kansas University law professor Mike Kautsch was reappointed last week by Gov. Kathleen Sebelius to the Kansas Humanities Council.

The council serves as a private, nonprofit organization that promotes understanding of the various cultures and traditions in Kansas.

Sebelius also appointed to the council Kansas State Librarian Christie Brandau of Topeka and Karen McCulloh of Manhattan, an assistant to the dean at Kansas State University.

Each will serve a three-year term.
