St. Joseph man killed by bomb in Iraq

? A St. Joseph man has been identified as one of two soldiers killed when a roadside bomb went off while their unit was patrolling in Iraq.

Spc. Edward L. Myers, 21, was assigned to the Army’s 3rd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division out of Fort Stewart, Ga. He was killed Wednesday,

Myers leaves behind a wife, Imojean, and two children, James, 5, and Rebekah, 8 months.

Retired Master Sgt. Jesse Rivera, a military instructor for the JROTC program at Benton High School, said Myers enlisted in the military shortly after his 2002 graduation.
