Law enforcement report

¢ Someone caused an unknown amount of damage to a sculpture in the Japanese Friendship Garden in the 1000 block of Massachusetts. According to a report, a 2,000-pound sculpture in the garden was pushed off its base between July 15 and July 18, but it has since been repaired.

¢ A Kansas University Police officer arrested Theogen Garner, 41, of Leavenworth, who is on parole for drug convictions, without incident early Thursday morning during a routine traffic stop at 1500 Engel Road, Sgt. Robert Linser said. Charges on the booking report at the Douglas County Jail reveal the man is charged with an aggravated weapon violation, no drug tax stamp, possession with intent to sell narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and a warrant from the Kansas Department of Corrections. Records from the KDOC reveal the man was convicted for two drug crimes in 1988 in Leavenworth County and received a third drug conviction in 1992.

Injury accidents

¢ A 37-year-old Lawrence woman suffered injuries Tuesday in a wreck at 10th and Kentucky streets. Andrea Edmond was riding in a westbound 1992 Ford Tempo about 9:20 a.m. when a driver of a 1985 Oldsmobile going north on Kentucky struck her vehicle. Edmond was taken by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for treatment.

¢ Police cited a 21-year-old Lawrence man for inattentive driving after a four-vehicle rear-end wreck Wednesday afternoon near Clinton Parkway and Iowa Street. Three vehicles were stopping for traffic on eastbound Clinton Parkway about 5:45 p.m. when a vehicle driven by Brian P. Seymour struck the rearmost vehicle, pushing it into the others. Seymour was cited, and a woman in one of the vehicles, 31-year-old Trena L. Anderson, was taken by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for treatment.

¢ Lawrence-Douglas County medical personnel transported one individual to Lawrence Memorial Hospital with a possible injury about 6:45 p.m. Friday after a car and bike collision at the intersection of 13th and Massachusetts, medical authorities said Friday evening. No additional information was available.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A 32-year-old Lawrence woman reported $10,132 in property, including a 61-inch television valued at $3,500, stolen between 7 a.m. and 9:35 p.m. Wednesday from her home in the 1000 block of West 29th Street Terrace.
