Stop slaughter

To the editor:

Where is our government, in conjunction with its allies, in acting to stop the genocide in Darfur? In the past two years, 400,000 people have died in Darfur and 15,000 continue to die each month. More than two and a half million people have been forced to flee their homes. The Sudanese government, through its militias, has caused murder, rape and displacement. Do we not have a moral obligation to act?
